How does Natural Fat Transfer work?

The procedure is performed in conjunction with Micro-Body Contouring where fat is gently removed from unwanted body areas and transferred to more desirable areas. During the Micro-Body Contouring procedure, pockets of unwanted fat are gently flushed from targeted areas of your body, and the intact fat cells are immediately harvested and ready for transfer.  The laser is used to promote skin tightening in the treated areas, for excellent body contouring results.  Finally, your natural fat cells are carefully injected into selected areas to increase volume and youthful fullness.  

How is Natural Fat Transfer different from fat grafting after traditional liposuction?

Recovering fat after traditional liposuction is a more complicated procedure that entails a long centrifuge process in order to prepare the fat for transfer.  Because of advances in technology the Body-Jet® system we use is gentler to the fat cells, allowing them to be removed intact and ready for immediate transfer.  That means that patients may need fewer treatments and have less risk for complications. 

How is Natural Fat Transfer different from cosmetic injectables and collagen?

Because Natural Fat Transfer uses your body’s own natural fat to improve contour and restore fullness, the results are more natural looking and long lasting.  With temporary synthetic fillers and collagen injections, patients must return frequently for new treatments to maintain results, typically every six to nine months.  Also, most dermal fillers are not designed for volumizing larger areas, so it becomes cost prohibitive to inject such large quantities of synthetic filler in order to achieve desired results. What’s more, by using your own natural fat cells, Natural Fat Transfer reduces the risk of infection or other complications that can occur when you introduce foreign substances into the body. Finally, with Natural Fat Transfer, you’ll also be able to take advantage of the outstanding body slimming and contouring benefits of the Body-Jet®.

Most patients return to work or normal activities in only a few days.
